We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in retail and industrial construction. This individual will be responsible for managing commercial construction projects ranging in value from $5 million to $25 million, with a focus on Large Box Retail, Multi-Tenant Centers, Restaurants, Auto Dealerships, Gas Stations, and Light Industrial facilities in the Alpharetta area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead projects from preconstruction through close-out, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Develop comprehensive estimates and manage complete project buy-outs including scope of work reviews, contract administration, and insurance compliance.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
• Use web-based project management platforms (Procore preferred) to facilitate seamless communication and documentation.
• Oversee all phases of the construction process with on-site and remote coordination with Superintendents.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, billing, project schedules, and cost forecasting.
• Attend and conduct subcontractor meetings and ensure timely delivery of reports and updates.
• Mentor and support a team of Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Build long-term relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, particularly in retail and/or light industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in different phases simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project scheduling software and MS Office; experience with Procore highly preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
