May coordinate with multiple members of the team to include, but not limited to, Greens Loader, Roasting and / or Flavoring to ensure a smooth flow of production. Performs duties in ways that maximize production efficiency./ph3Essential Functions of the Job/h3ulliOperates roasting or grinding machines, product elevators, coolers and / or other devices for production./liliMakes machine adjustments and may service equipment in roasting area as well as ensure maintenance team is informed of all needs./liliMaintains an accurate inventory through use of a computerized inventory system./liliIncorporates rework at established quality specifications as required./liliResponsible for general housekeeping around the roasting or grinding areas./liliUpholds and provides safe, high-quality, consistent products, and superior services that anticipate, meet, or exceed the requirements of our customers./liliComplies with General Safety Communication Program./liliPerforms any other duties/tasks that may be assigned to him/her on an as needed basis./li/ulh3Skill Set/Experience/h3ulliUnderstands how to read package quality specifications (die-lines, temperatures, measurements, bag height etc.)/liliBasic experience with hand tools./liliWorking knowledge of computer basics and experience with data entry./liliManufacturing experience desired./liliObserves physical changeover of product on the machine./liliHas ability to trouble shoot minor problems on packaging machines./liliHas a novice understanding of centerline machine settings adjustments (time, pressure, temperature)./li/ulh3Physical and Mental Requirements/h3ulliBasic ability to read, write, calculate simple math, and withstand moderate amounts of stress./liliHigh degree of organizational skills required to maintain uninterrupted machine operation./liliGood analytical skills needed to plan and implement various machine operation functions./liliAbility to address complex problems and propose viable solutions./liliExcellent oral and written communications skills required./li/ulh3Work Environment and Equipment/h3ulliOperational knowledge of green coffee concepts, grinders, roasters, coolers, color analysis machine, product routing equipment and metric tooling is desired./liliBasic experience with hand tools./liliWorking knowledge of computer basics and experience with data entry./liliOccasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions when transferring products from one building to another./liliPersonal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory./liliThis position is inside a warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust and flavoring smells./liliPersonal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory./li/ulh3Education/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./li/ulh3Work Habits/h3ulliRegular attendance and promptness is a must for this job./liliThis job requires a high degree of teamwork./liliAssists new training of employees as directed./li/ulpCascade coffee is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity.
