Overview
Social Worker (Medical Social Worker) – Vallejo, CA; travel assignment in an inpatient medical setting starting 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks, 40 hours per week on days (8-hour shifts). Weekly pay range: $2,314–$2,412. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Setting: acute-care inpatient environment. Responsibilities
- Render clinical psychosocial services to patients and families of all ages (neonate to geriatric) in the inpatient setting.
- Assess patients’ psychosocial needs and coordinate referrals to appropriate facilities or community agencies.
- Provide crisis intervention and bereavement counseling as part of comprehensive patient care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support discharge planning, care coordination, and patient advocacy.
- Document assessments, plans, and interventions in the medical record per policy and standards.

Requirements
- Ability to provide psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention in an inpatient medical setting.
- Experience rendering psychosocial services and making referrals to facilities or community resources.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Eligible for a travel assignment in California and available to commit to a 13-week contract starting on 08/31/2026.
