Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Transportation Manager to oversee and optimize the transportation and distribution operations. This role is responsible for managing fleet operations, driver performance, route planning, and regulatory compliance to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to customers.
The ideal candidate will have good leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics and transportation operations, and the ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment while maintaining safety and service standards.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transportation operations, including route planning, dispatching, and delivery scheduling.
- Manage and supervise drivers, dispatchers, and transportation staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies .
- Monitor driver performance, productivity, and hours-of-service compliance.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize routing, fleet utilization, and delivery schedules to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
- Manage fleet maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
- Investigate and resolve delivery issues, accidents, or service disruptions.
- Maintain accurate transportation records including logs, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- Analyze transportation metrics and implement strategies to improve performance and reduce operational costs.
- Train, coach, and develop transportation staff to maintain a high-performing team.
- Ensure adherence to all company safety procedures and promote a culture of safety within the transportation department.
