Regulatory and Marketing Attorney
Location: California (Remote out of Los Angeles Area preferred).
Pay: $100 to $120 per hour
Job Type: Remote, Part-Time (10-20 hours/week), Ongoing Long-Term Contract (6+ Months)
LHH is working with a prominent corporation based in Los Angeles, CA, in seeking an experienced Contract Corporate Attorney to provide high-level legal support on trademark, intellectual property, advertising, and regulatory compliance matters. This role requires a seasoned legal professional with at least 8 years of experience handling legal issues in marketing, advertising, and regulatory compliance, particularly within the food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities: - Review and advise on packaging, labeling, and promotional materials for compliance with FDA and FTC regulations.
- Assist with regulatory compliance related to food and beverage marketing and advertising.
- Draft and negotiate agreements related to intellectual property, advertising, and endorsements.
- Monitor and analyze changes in FDA and FTC regulations impacting marketing and advertising practices.
- Provide strategic counsel on trademark and brand management, including enforcement, licensing, and risk assessment.
Qualifications: - J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission in good standing to the California Bar.
- 9+ years of legal experience in marketing, advertising, and regulatory compliance.
- Extensive experience advising food and/or beverage companies on advertising, marketing, and promotional matters.
- FDA and/or FTC compliance experience is essential.
- Food company experience
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
