Qualifications Advanced subject mastery in research methods, biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, learning theories, memory and cognition, developmental psychology, personality theories, abnormal psychology, social psychology, and therapeutic approaches. Ability to explain neurotransmitter functions, conditioning principles, cognitive biases, and the DSM diagnostic framework; prepare students for AP Psychology or college‑level exams. Skilled in breaking down psychological research methodology, theoretical perspective comparisons, and case study analysis; guide students through designing experiments, identifying variables, applying theories, analyzing ethical considerations, and distinguishing correlation from causation. Familiar with psychology curricula at introductory and advanced levels; adapt instruction using case studies, demonstrations, and mnemonic devices. Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style; adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
