Job Description

Laundry Attendant

We are looking for an enthusiastic Laundry Attendant to join our hotel team and provide exceptional service to our guests. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all the hotel's linens, towels, and other laundry items. You will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and distributing freshly laundered items to their appropriate locations. You will also help to ensure that our guests' clothing and other items are handled with care and that the hotel's laundry area is maintained in a safe and efficient manner. Job Responsibilities

  • Sort and process all hotel laundry items according to established procedures
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading their laundry
  • Ensure all items are properly washed, dried, folded, and/or ironed
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry room
  • Monitor inventory of laundry supplies and order more when necessary
  • Follow safety and security guidelines for operating laundry machines
  • Track and record laundry orders and payments
  • Assist with laundering hotel linens and bedding
  • Provide customer service to guests regarding their laundry needs
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull laundry carts and linen carts
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and reach
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Ability to handle detergents, bleaches, and other cleaning supplies safely
  • Ability to operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and irons
  • Ability to sort, fold, and hang laundry
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and other hotel staff
  • Ability to adhere to hotel safety and security protocols
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
