Position Snapshot

  • Location: Must reside in Macomb or the surrounding areas in Illinois (Must own or rent your current home; Only available in the following counties: Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, Schuyler, and Warren)
  • Supporting: You are welcoming an individual with an intellectual disability to move into your home and live with you full-time as a part of your household and family dynamic
  • Average Annual Income: Approximately $33,000 (federally tax-free) + Monthly Rent & Household Expenses Contribution
  • Work from Home Opportunity
  • Ongoing Training & Team Support

How You'll Make a Difference

Every individual is unique, but your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and decision-making.
  • Assisting with medication administration and medical appointments.
  • Helping someone build connections, participate in their community, and experience a sense of belonging.
  • Providing transportation and support with daily activities as needed.
  • Maintaining documentation and communication with the Mosaic support team.
  • Helping someone build confidence, develop independence, and pursue personal goals.


Depending on the individual's needs, support may also include:

  • Assistance with personal care activities
  • Behavioral support
  • Medical or physical support needs
  • Specialized care and monitoring

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • You must be a current resident of the state of Illinois (due to state funding restrictions).
  • Own/Rent your own home, apartment, condo, or townhouse
  • Active homeowner's or renter's insurance
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current vehicle insurance
  • Internet access and basic computer skills
  • Ability to complete required screenings, background checks, and training
  • Must be a registered healthcare worker (DSP)
