Hourly Pay: $21.32 / hour
Maxim Healthcare is hiring for a
CERTIFIED Home Health Aide (HHA) or Persona care Aide (PCA) to provide personal care services, as necessary, to meet the patient's needs.
- Suffolk County - willing to travel
- 4, 6, 8, 12 hour shifts
- Days and Overnights available
- Preferred experience with TBI Patients and Hoyer Lifter Patients

Responsibilities: - Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
- Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
- Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
- Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
- Exercise according to the plan of care
- Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
- Patient's laundry
- Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
- Observation and teaching of home safety practices
- Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
- Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
- Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
- Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor
Requirements: - Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
- Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
- PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
- Participation and completion of Maxim's competency program
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
