TEKsystems Description

We are seeking an entry-level Level 1 Technician (Helper) with limited telecom experience who is eager to learn and grow. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in physically demanding environments and demonstrates strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.

The technician will work in a data center environment , supporting installation tasks and working alongside experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and route cabling throughout the data center
• Assemble, stack, and drill racks
• Scan, label, and port equipment
• Use a computer to document equipment locations and part numbers
• Support general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians

Required Qualifications & Attributes

• Experience working in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar)
• Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Proven reliability and consistent attendance
• Ability to work on ladders and lifts
• Hands-on electrical or military experience is highly preferred

Required Skills

• Construction or manual labor experience
• Proficiency using hand and power tools
• Experience with installation tasks

Preferred/Additional Skills

• Low voltage experience
• Cable pulling
• Military background

Employment Details

• Pay Rate: $20/hour
• Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential to convert to a full-time employee (FTE)
• Conversion Opportunity: Eligible for direct hire once headcount becomes available
• Growth Potential: Opportunity for pay increase if promoted into leadership (not guaranteed during contract period)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
