The Opportunity At Hand And Our Expectations Of You

We're looking for passionate and empathetic people to join our team as Assistant Materials Manager.

In this role, as assistant Materials Manger, you will perform in a multi-faceted capacity, all duties related to Materials Management including inventory control and distribution. Ensure the timely & accurate receipt, ordering, processing, distribution and rotation of medical/surgical supplies to various departments. You will support the Materials Manager.

This is a full-time day shift position.

Responsibilities include continually monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations. Restock par areas as needed.

Manage the Purchase Order (PO) process, receiving, and replenishment of all supplies for assigned location(s) in the inventory management system (Envi).

Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues to material manager and all appropriate personnel.

Coordinate inventory management activities such as daily cycle counts and rotation of supplies and checking expiration dates.

Assist with value analysis and product trials as requested by materials manager.

Assist with mandatory physical inventory process at the site every 6 months.

Manage par areas and maintain accuracy in the Envi inventory system.

Ensure purchasing activity aligns with the overall purchasing department strategy.

Ensure that contracts for supplies, implants, equipment services, and purchased services are complying and being followed.

Oversees flow of equipment and ensures equipment is following applicable biomedical guidelines.

Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines.

Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner with all staff and team members.

Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum two years of experience in materials management related position such as purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain. Medical background a must.

Essential Requirements

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two year of related experience
  • Ability to lift objects more than 25 pounds and less than 40.
  • Able to push/pull objects more than 50 pounds on a cart.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
  • Ability to navigate inventory management systems and other technological systems such Envi
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize efficiently
  • Must be willing to be flexible in regard to scheduling changes that result from staff/patient variance
  • Must receive all items in a timely fashion
  • Must be able to think proactively and order efficiently when Materials Manager is off
  • Must be able to manage back orders
  • Must be flexible and a work well with other team members.
