Global Supply Chain Director

West Warwick, RI (Hybrid) | $140,000 - $180,000 | Full-Time | Direct Hire

Lead Global Supply Chain Operations for a Growing Manufacturing Organization

An established global manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Global Supply Chain Director to lead end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple international manufacturing and distribution sites. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for developing global sourcing strategies, optimizing procurement operations, improving inventory performance, and leading a team of supply chain professionals worldwide.

This opportunity is ideal for a strategic supply chain leader who is equally comfortable driving long-term initiatives and managing critical supplier relationships, procurement activities, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global supply chain strategies that support business growth, cost reduction, and inventory optimization
• Lead procurement, sourcing, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance initiatives
• Manage key supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements
• Drive improvements in inventory turnover, service levels, and supply continuity
• Standardize supply chain processes across multiple global manufacturing and distribution sites
• Optimize freight, logistics, and tariff strategies to reduce total landed costs
• Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance management programs
• Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and supply challenges
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to support customer delivery requirements
• Establish KPIs and reporting metrics to measure supply chain performance
• Lead, mentor, and develop a global purchasing team while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations experience within a global manufacturing environment
• Experience managing global suppliers and multi-site operations
• Strong contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost reduction expertise
• Proven success improving inventory performance and driving process improvements
• Leadership experience managing and developing teams

Preferred:

• Experience within industrial manufacturing environments
• Experience sourcing both consumable materials and engineered hardware components
• Knowledge of global logistics, tariffs, and international trade compliance
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience
• NetSuite ERP experience

Additional Information

• Hybrid schedule based out of West Warwick, RI
• Approximately 25% domestic and international travel required
• Competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000
