Job Description

Position SummaryThe Furniture Repair Technician 1 repairs, restores, and inspects merchandise that has been damaged or has manufacturer defects. Will work inside the shop or on the dock ensuring outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.Position DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Identify repair needed and follow standard operating procedures to repair based upon the needDemonstrate proficiency in repairing at least one of the following:Upholstery / Leather products to include stitching, panel replacement, mechanism, frame repair, button replacement, as well as other componentsWood / case goods to include burn ins, color matching, panel replacements, adjustment of drawers, doors, glides and other componentsAchieve 80% restock to first qualityIdentify proper quality disposition of furniture after inspection.Have clear understanding and experience with product assemblyUtilize proper lifting techniquesAble to operate radio frequency equipmentConducts operations in compliance with OSHA standardsMaintains a clean work area, free from debris on warehouse floorMeet company standards for productivityLS1BQualificationsEducation/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum 1-2 years experience working with upholstery, an array of fabrics, wood furniture, leather and veneer finishes. Able to use necessary tools and equipment. Strong working knowledge of leather repairs, wood repairs including scratches, dents and split wood. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Certificates and Licenses: None RequiredSupervisory Responsibilities: This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.Position Hiring RangeThe hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time.Compensation: $21.55 - $28.05Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members. Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy.
