Job Description

Our client, a dynamic, high-profile and creative family based in Los Angeles require two experienced Nannies to support their 3 children.

The first Nanny will predominantly look after the youngest child and the second will look after the two older children whilst working closely together to support the whole family.

The family values a holistic, child-led approach and appreciates familiarity with Steiner/Montessori/Waldorf principles although this is not essential and further qualifications related to childcare and holistic approach will be considered.

These are live out roles based in Los Angeles with 2-3 months spent in London each summer and a fantastic opportunity for creative, nurturing nannies who embraces gentle parenting and child-focused principles. The family is warm, caring, and welcoming, looking for Nannies to become part of their family fold.

Hours:- Up to 60 hours per week (between 7:30 am to 7:30 pm depending on the schedule)

Location:- Los Angeles, USA (with summers in London)

Salary:- Dependent on experience

Driver: - Essential

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Partnering with another nanny and working alongside a very hands-on, supportive parents
  • Planning and arranging age-appropriate, child-led activities. P lanning outings, and engaging the children's imaginations.
  • Supporting children's learning and growth through positive, enriching experiences
  • Child-focused role involving sole charge and collaboration with the household team.
  • Working with one or two children at a time, occasionally caring for all three.
  • Preparing healthy, balanced and nutritious meals and snacks. cleaning up afterward
  • Driving children to activities and days out (car provided).
  • Flexibility to stay overnight if needed.
  • Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and secure environment.
  • Traveling with Family approximately 4-6 times per year.
  • Travel Preparation & Packing: Coordinating and organizing all travel-related arrangements for the children, including packing appropriate clothing, toys, educational materials, and essential items for each destination.
  • Assisting with light housekeeping related to children (e.g., laundry, tidying / organising play areas).
  • Keeping a structured yet flexible daily routine to balance activities and rest.
Candidates must be / have:
  • Prior experience in a similar role with strong references with a minimum of 7 years
  • Driving Licence required (Car provided; must be comfortable driving in the US).
  • Valid DBS check and paediatric first-aid training required.
  • Positive, proactive, gentle, engaging, and imaginative.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the children's well-being and happiness.
  • Confident in taking initiative and having excellent communication skills.
  • Open-minded and willing to learn, grow, and adapt.
  • Further qualifications in childcare, such as Early Childhood Education Montessori training, are highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Interest in professional development; childcare qualifications are a bonus.
  • Happy to live in LA and travel to London for 2-3 months each summer.
