Senior FP&A

Onsite 2-3 days/WFH 1-2 days per week in Minneapolis

Based in St. Louis Park, MN, this company develops, manufactures, distributes, and markets frozen novelty treats. Retailers from coast to coast including Target, Costco, Walmart, Sam's Club, Albertsons, Safeway, Kroger, along with thousands of regional and local grocers make their product a part of their assortment. Growing from a dorm room start-up in 2012, the team is now focused on a continuing mission to introduce new people and markets to our better-for-you frozen treats, while also innovating and introducing delicious new products for everyone to enjoy!

What You Will Do:

The Senior FP&A Analyst is a driven, team-focused individual with a passion for helping uncover the right information to guide high-performance decision making, the opportunity to interface with key decision makers across our business by delivering analysis, insights, and performance monitoring. Essential functions and major responsibilities:

  • Prepare and disseminate daily/weekly/monthly performance monitoring reports
  • Provide analysis and identify trends to accompany performance monitoring reports
  • Maintain and manage established tools for the annual planning, budgeting and analysis process used by various business teams
  • Prepare, analyze and disseminate financial comparisons to actuals, and variance analysis
  • Assist in the development and compilation of forecast and budget updates
  • Develop new reports to monitor performance and manage KPIs as required
  • Provide actionable business analytics and fact-based recommendations delivering against the stated P&L objectives
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify opportunities for improvement to data collection, management, analysis and reporting tools
  • Build and extend reporting, planning, and analysis tools as needed to support business team objectives
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analysis, reports, and presentations for executive team members
  • Completion and review of key ERP transactions to ensure accuracy, integrity and consistency
  • Continuously look to increase efficiency through process automation

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in varied fields (or equivalent experience)
  • Team player: a solution-based collaborator and has the ability to work closely with operations, and finance business teams
  • Strong financial modeling skills and financial acumen: understanding of accounting and financial principals
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make forecasts and projections based on data and analysis
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Excellent MS Excel skills, comfortable with the use of advanced features and formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, SUMIF(S),IF(S), Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, Conditional Formatting, Linked Workbooks, Handling Text Strings in Excel, Macros)
  • Proven experience maintaining or implementing metrics to measure and manage performance
  • Adaptable, resilient, flexible, fast-paced/sense of urgency
  • Ability to provide leadership and input into process improvement and development
  • Creative problem-solver, able to identify solutions and propose them to cross-functional business teams
  • Results-oriented with strong process and execution skills, proactive in finding answers/information
  • Ability to adapt to growth and change
Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in an Analyst, Reporting, BI, Finance or related position, consumer packaged goods (Client) highly preferred
  • Experience using Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Oracle NetSuite (or similar) ERP Report creation and customization (SQL helpful but not required)
  • Excellent MS Excel skills, comfortable with the use of advanced features and formulas
