Overview:
As a Facilities Supply Chain Coordinator, you'll be the backbone of materials logistics—handling shipping, receiving, and inventory management in a well-established clinical environment. Your work will directly support healthcare professionals by maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring accurate documentation, and streamlining supply processes. Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, verify, and process all inbound materials and equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation in the materials management system.
Coordinate the shipping and routing of materials to and from the facility, including off-site locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Prepare outbound shipments with complete documentation, adhering to shipping protocols and SOPs.
Manage the Returned Goods process, ensuring that any returns are handled efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
Deliver supplies and stock to designated staging and storage areas, ensuring proper inventory rotation based on receipt dates and expiration timelines.
Monitor short-dated materials (less than 30 days of shelf life), report discrepancies, and collaborate with management to determine necessary actions.
Assist with cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventories to maintain accurate stock levels.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant policies, including OSHA, CLIA, and internal safety standards.
Analyze current inventory procedures and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Support order entry, picking, packing, and delivery for internal departments and external clients.
Aid in record storage, retrieval, and mail handling processes, supporting overall operational needs.
Perform additional duties as required to maintain the facility’s supply chain functionality.
Required Skills:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
At least six months of previous materials management or supply chain experience.
Basic math skills for inventory calculations.
Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in data entry, record keeping, and computer operation, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Ability to operate a computer, printer, barcode scanner, and materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform manual handling duties as needed.
Good teamwork skills and a commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with inventory management software or healthcare-specific materials management systems.
Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
Knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations pertinent to healthcare supply chains.
Previous experience working in a healthcare or clinical environment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Six months or more of experience in a logistics, warehousing, or health system supply chain environment.
Data entry and inventory control experience preferred.
