Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteer donors feel comfortable returning. Maintain detailed orientation all day, every day to ensure the blood collected meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. Drive Red Cross vehicles and work with the team to set up and tear down equipment at donation sites; position may require a minimum height of 60 inches. Standard Schedule (Charlottesville, Virginia) 5 x 8 hour shifts; Tuesday‑Saturday Two consecutive days off: Sunday & Monday Staff may work variable schedules including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance. Pay Information Starting rate $18.73/hour Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills. A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Physical ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights, stand or sit for long periods, and adapt to irregular hours and frequent schedule changes; may require a minimum height of 60 inches to operate vehicles. Basic computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Competitive Edge Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.). Prior leadership experience.
