Job Description

ComputerCare has spent more than 20 years building something rare in the IT world: a company where technical excellence and genuine human connection are valued equally. We're the trusted partner that IT leaders turn to when technology can't afford to fail. As a woman-owned business serving innovative companies worldwide, we combine certified technical expertise with a human approach. Whether it's managing complex device lifecycles for global teams or performing authorized repairs for Apple, Lenovo, HP and Dell devices, our work directly impacts how thousands of people stay productive every day. We never outsource our work because we believe in accountability, quality, and building lasting relationships—with our clients and as a team.

If you're passionate about technology, take pride in solving real problems, and want to be part of a company that values both technical excellence and the people behind it, ComputerCare is where you belong.

Come join us in our mission of being the Human Side of Hardware!

As a Computer Repair Technician, you’ll be hands-on diagnosing and repairing devices while meeting manufacturer quality standards and performance goals. Your first 90 days will be focused on getting certified, building confidence across devices, and hitting repair benchmarks—all while working alongside a collaborative, supportive team.

If you love taking things apart, putting them back together better than before, and keeping up with the latest tech, this role is for you.

We bring people into this role year-round, so don’t hesitate to apply. As new opportunities pop up, we’ll be in touch!

What You'll Do:
  • Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, tablets, and iPhones in line with manufacturer quality and efficiency standards.
  • Meet repair quality, volume, and turnaround time KPIs, especially during your first 90 days.
  • Reinstall operating systems and adjust software settings to resolve device issues.
  • Perform hardware and software repairs that meet manufacturer and client performance metrics.
  • Earn and maintain required certifications (Apple, Lenovo, HP, Dell, and others as needed).
  • Research service guides and specifications to determine correct machine settings.
  • Accurately document repairs, device statuses, and service details in internal systems.
  • Track devices and parts throughout the repair process, including ordering parts as needed.
  • Maintain organized part storage for repairs in progress.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and escalate discrepancies when identified.
  • Collaborate with teammates and technical leads to troubleshoot issues and share best practices.
  • Communicate with manufacturer service teams to resolve repair-related issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation aligned with company and manufacturer standards.
  • Lift, push, and pull 50+ lbs as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Learn and adopt new tools, processes, and procedures as repair standards evolve.
  • Engage with vendors, customers, and team members with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Support broader department needs and take on additional duties as assigned by leadership.
What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing laptops, desktops, tablets, and/or iPhones.
  • At least one relevant certification (CompTIA A+ preferred, ACMT, ACiT, Lenovo, HP, Dell, Toshiba, or similar).
  • A commitment to staying current on technology, tools, procedures, and manufacturer training.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality repair work.
  • Comfort with both written and verbal communication.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, or Google Suite.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support teammates and team goals.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a consistent basis
Perks and Benefits:
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision plans to keep you feeling your best
  • 401(k) with employer match—because your future matters
  • Company-paid Life Insurance, plus HSA & FSA options
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for real support when you need it
  • Adoption Assistance to help grow your family
  • Commuter Benefits for an easier ride
  • Free Coursera Professional Certifications to level up your skills
  • Generous vacation & sick time, plus paid time off to give back to your community

If you get to this point, we hope you're feeling excited about the job you just read. Even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We're eager to meet people that believe in ComputerCare’s mission, core values and can contribute to our team in a variety of ways – not just candidates who check all the boxes.
