The Role

You will be the primary point of contact for our commercial clients, performing high-level diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various systems, from rooftop units (RTUs) to commercial split systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment (RTUs, chillers, pumps, etc.).
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure peak system efficiency.
• Respond to emergency service calls with professionalism and technical accuracy.
• Maintain an organized and clean company vehicle.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in Commercial HVAC service or installation.
• Certifications: EPA Universal Certification (required).
• Driver’s License: Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for vehicle insurance).
• Tools: Must possess basic hand tools and essential diagnostic gear (see below). Sunburst provides specialized heavy equipment (vacuum pumps, recovery machines, large power tools).
• Physical: Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.

Required Basic Tool List

To ensure you're ready for the field on day one, we expect technicians to provide their own "Daily Carry" kit, including:

• Hand Tools: Screwdrivers (insulated), nut drivers (1/4" to 1/2"), pliers, wire strippers, and adjustable wrenches.
• Diagnostic Gear: Digital manifold gauges and a True-RMS Multimeter (Fluke or equivalent).
• Measurement: Tape measure, pocket thermometer, and a reliable flashlight/headlamp.
• Cordless Drill: 18V-20V impact driver/drill set.
