PTO AVAILABLE Responsibilities Operate straight trucks safely and efficiently to transport freight between designated local locations. Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards. Handle local pickup and delivery (PUD) assignments; assistance from a lumper is provided when necessary. Utilize provided equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies for loading and unloading cargo. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered. Follow all traffic laws and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor on the road. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license, CDL required Experience operating straight trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
