Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Experience: Minimum 5 years of recent, full-time experience in a high-volume hospital setting
License: Current CRCST certification (or equivalent) required
Certifications: CRCST certification required
Must-Have: Extensive hands-on knowledge of standards, regulations, and guidelines for sterile processing
Description:
Inspects, assembles, and evaluates all surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure quality.
Determines the need for repair or replacement of instruments.
Validates the completeness of instrument sets.
Facilitates effective sterilization processes.
Operates sterilization equipment and inspects instruments, equipment, and containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
Performs the decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers, and equipment according to established protocols.
Corrects instrument sets according to current standards and instrument tracking systems.
Maintains proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
Handles complex instrument trays for various specialties.
Demonstrates the ability to identify and resolve issues autonomously in fast-paced environments.
Candidates lacking the required experience or needing extensive onboarding will not be considered.
Familiarity with immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) protocols is essential.
Verifiable references from prior assignments confirming no training needed are required.
