Start Your Technology Career with Training, Mentorship, and Real Opportunity

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USA TODAY Top Workplaces awardee, a Washington Top Workplaces honoree, and an eight-time Inc. 5000 honoree, is seeking bright, curious, and highly motivated recent graduates and early-career professionals to join our growing technology team. We are looking for high-potential individuals who are eager to learn, enjoy solving difficult problems, and want to build a long-term career in software development. You do not need to know every technology on your first day. We hire for intelligence, curiosity, work ethic, problem-solving ability, and potential—and we invest in people who are ready to invest in themselves. Selected candidates will receive structured technical training, hands-on mentoring, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers on large-scale, mission-critical enterprise systems. You will gain experience with enterprise application development, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, databases, system integration, testing, and Agile delivery.

PeopleSoft experience is a plus but not required. We will provide training and mentoring.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured technical training and hands-on development assignments
  • Learn PeopleSoft, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQL, and related enterprise technologies
  • Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications and system components
  • Assist with application enhancements, interfaces, reports, data conversions, and integrations
  • Write clean, reliable, and well-documented code
  • Investigate software defects and help identify root causes and solutions
  • Work closely with senior developers, technical leads, analysts, testers, and other team members
  • Participate in Agile planning, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospective meetings
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and development practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, information systems, engineering, mathematics, data science, or a related technical field
  • Recent graduate or early-career candidate with a strong interest in software development
  • Basic programming experience gained through coursework, internships, research, personal projects, hackathons, or employment
  • Understanding of fundamental programming concepts, databases, algorithms, or software-development principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively within a team
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and receptive to coaching and feedback
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Arlington, Virginia
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Preference will be given to local candidates and candidates who are willing to relocate to the Arlington, Virginia area.

Desired Skills

Experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas is a plus:

  • PeopleSoft, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, or other enterprise application platforms
  • Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C++, C#, or another programming language
  • SQL, relational databases, data modeling, or data analysis
  • Artificial intelligence, generative AI, or machine learning
  • AWS or another cloud-computing platform
  • Web applications, APIs, microservices, or system integrations
  • Git, Azure DevOps, or other source-code and work-management tools
  • Automated testing, DevOps, or continuous integration and deployment
  • Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development environments

Professional software-development experience is not required. We are especially interested in candidates who demonstrate initiative through technical projects, independent learning, internships, research, or other accomplishments.
