26-27 Bay Area Women's Sports Initiative Analyst VISTA The Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative (BAWSI) is a nonprofit founded in 2005 by women’s sports legend Marlene Bjornsrud and soccer champions Brandi Chastain and Julie Foudy. BAWSI mobilizes the women’s sports community to engage, inspire, and empower the children who need us most. Since our founding, BAWSI has focused on programs for girls from under‑resourced neighborhoods, increasing resilience in children living with adversity. As a VISTA, you will improve and expand your skills in systems and finance while gaining valuable nonprofit experience. Member Duties The VISTA will be part of the 26-27 Coach Across America national VISTA cohort of 64 members and will: Improve the efficiency, security, and documentation of collecting, tracking, and processing receipts, which are key to BAWSI financial operations. Automate staff processes, such as hours tracking and mileage reimbursement, to increase organizational effectiveness and free up staff time. Analyze program impact metrics and provide summaries for marketing campaigns and fundraising events to guide future planning.
